Questions and Answers

  • Do you provide parking assistance?

    We will place signage and orange cones where your guests should park. As long as they follow the sign that says “Pick a Cone and Park Your Car and Please Park Pretty” all will be well. We do not direct traffic for you and highly recommend you remind your guests to only park where marked.

  • Can I decorate the barn and pavilion?

    Yep. We want you to make our place......your place. You are welcome to use small tacks in the wood but nails are prohibited. You can string lights as you please but we do not provide ladders.

    Our windows are made of a product called Lexan and while it is shatter resistant, it is very easy to scratch. Decorating around the windows is okay. Placing anything directly on the Lexan is strictly prohibited. When performing your clean up process DO NOT clean the Lexan.

  • What is the earliest the barn is open and the latest we can stay?

    You can prepare for your event as early as 7:00am but all lights, music, cars, etc. must be turned off and gone from the property no later than 10:00pm. This is still our home and we like peaceful sleep. More details will be in your agreement for service.

  • What are your payment terms?

    Simple and straight forward.

    Each special gathering is different. Payment terms will be outlined in your proposal after our reservation consultation.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    This is very similar to the payment terms and will be outlited in your proposal after our reservation consultation.

  • Does the barn have heat and air?

    The milking parlor is not climate controlled. It is an open air barn. Depending on the time of year your reserve it, we would highly recommend adding the following to your invite “the Browning Barn is not climate controlled. Please dress accordingly.” That’s what we do and it’s worked for years.

  • Do I have to sign any waivers?

    Yep!

  • Do you have a vendor list I have to stick to?

    Nope! Look...we aren’t here to tell you who to use for what! Your catering, floral, restroom trailers, tent, photographer, lighting, music choices and more should be up to you and you alone!

    If you need to be pointed in the right direction for any vendor we will be happy to give ya some names and numbers of people we trust.

  • Are there time limits on my event?

    Of course! The availability to the grounds will be outlined in your proposal but no matter what event is held at our barn…it’s lights out at 10:00PM. This is still our front yard and we like sleep. :)
