Our barn is not open year round. This means you are in a small pool of people that we know, like and trust to utilize our family history for your private, special occasion or to bring your clients to our place for photo sessions.

Look...we see the construction of barns left and right that are being utilized as event centers. Our barn is original. From the concrete floors and foundation to the rough cut wood from 1940, you won’t find more authentic features anywhere in Beautiful Butts County.

Our simple structure allows you to have a blank canvas to work with to achieve the special occasion environment of your dreams. We felt it was imperative to retain as much of the original architecture from 1940 as possible with only the basic renovations.

We thrive having a quiet life “back in the woods.” We appreciate the sounds of Georgia pines blowing in the wind, crows calling to each other in the distance and the view of stars in the night sky that are undisturbed by city lights. Our barn encompasses a serene setting that is hard to find nowadays.

There’s nothing more southern than having a story to go along with your special occasion. The story you will share with your friends and family about your special occasion at the historic, exclusive, one of a kind Browning Barn will dig your southern roots deeper than you ever imagined.

The Milking Parlor is approximately 1,000 square feet of pure neutral bliss. The windows bring in light from sun up to sun down and the creamy white paint blends with any color palette. The exposed rafters add character galore and a touch of modern with the pavers in the drainage canals tie the warm colors all together.

The Bottling Plant, where all of the pasteurization happened, provides approximately 800 square feet of open space. The perfect spot for food preparation and storage or a spot to change into your dance floor clothes. The decision is all yours. We are currently updating the block barn to include a kitchen!

Since we are “green industry people”, the grounds was one of the most important aspects of creating a space that would flow with whatever private, special occasions that take place at the Browning Barn. The pavilion on the top terrace can serve as a place to dine, dance or a serving station for any mouth watering foods your taste buds desire.

Fill the middle terrace with more tables or leave as is for mixing and mingling.

In an effort to disturb as little of the landscape as possible, parking is limited. We suggest you encourage your guests to carpool. The Browning Barn offers field parking spaces which will be easily identified by orange cones that we will set up for you before your special occasion.

The dairy cows didn’t have much of a need for indoor plumbing in 1940 so we leave restrooms totally up to you for your event. We can recommend great restroom trailer companies that we have personally used. We do allow the use of our single restroom in the block barn during photo sessions and smaller gatherings. Look...we aren’t here to tell you who to use for what! Your catering, floral, restroom trailers, tent, photographer, lighting, music choices and more should be up to you and you alone!
